Empowering Lives,
Restoring Dignity

St. Vincent Pallotti’s Initiative for People with Disabilities – serving the Diocese of Masaka since 2003 with love, rehabilitation, and hope.

Who We Are

Background & Mission

St. Vincent Pallotti Transitory Nursing Home for People with Disabilities is a result of humble beginnings of a program for provision of services to people with disabilities in the Diocese of Masaka which started in 2003. We are deeply grateful to Masaka Diocese and Mrs. Shirly Hurta who helped develop the center.

The center serves all 54 Parishes in the Diocese, reaching a population of approximately 1,962,000 people (2014). Through community-based rehabilitation and medical care, we transform lives daily.

Why St. Vincent Pallotti?

The initiative is of the Union of Catholic Apostolate, founded by St. Vincent Pallotti in 1835. It revives faith, rekindles charity, and promotes unity in Christ, collaborating with the Bishop of Masaka Diocese.
